This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Spend Jot (the "Application"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE APPLICATION.

Information We Collect
Spend Jot is designed to be a simple expense logger. The information we collect is primarily focused on providing and improving this service.
1. Data You Provide to Us:
- Expense Data: When you log an expense, we collect the information you enter, such as the amount, category, optional note, and date. This data is stored locally on your device.
2. Data Collected Automatically:
When you use the Application, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the Application, such as the features you use, the frequency and duration of your usage. This data is typically collected in an aggregated and anonymous manner to help us improve the Application. (e.g., via Firebase Analytics or similar services).
- Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID), and mobile network information. This is used for providing services like ads and for analytics.
- Advertising IDs: If you use the free version of Spend Jot, which includes advertisements, your device's advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID for Android) may be collected by our third-party advertising partners (e.g., Google AdMob) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can usually reset your advertising ID or opt-out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
3. Information for In-App Purchases:
If you choose to subscribe to Spend Jot premium features, the purchase is processed by the respective app store (Google Play Store). We use a third-party service, RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat and the app stores may collect payment information, but Spend Jot does not directly collect or store your credit card details. RevenueCat provides us with anonymized subscription status information to unlock premium features in the app.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect in the following ways:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Application.
- To allow you to track and manage your expenses as intended by the Application.

Data Storage
Your personal expense data (amounts, categories, notes, dates) is stored locally on your device. We do not store this personal expense data on our servers. If you uninstall the app, this data may be deleted from your device, unless your device's operating system provides a backup that includes app data and you restore from that backup.
The CSV export feature allows you to save your data to a file on your device, which you then manage.
Anonymized and aggregated usage data collected for analytics may be stored by our third-party service providers (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase).
